Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western CT and Boehringer Ingelheim Announce Annual Art Gala

DANBURY, CT — The Art of Caring, a gala event featuring art, entertainment and exceptional cuisine, will take place Friday, June 8, 2012, beginning at 7:00 p.m. This is the 27th year that Boehringer Ingelheim has hosted The Art of Caring, which takes place at the company’s headquarters in Ridgefield, and benefits the patients and families served by Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western CT.  The event raised more than $150,000 for Regional Hospice and Home Care last year.

“We are very grateful to Boehringer Ingelheim for hosting this event for so many years,” said Cynthia Roy-Squitieri, President and CEO of Regional Hospice and Home Care.  “The community’s support for The Art of Caring directly helps our agency care for thousands of people in Western Connecticut and helps cover the costs of our community bereavement programs offered through the Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families.”

“We’re expecting this year’s event to be bigger and better than ever,” said George Mulvaney, chair of the board of directors of Regional Hospice and Home Care and chair of the event.  “Everyone should come out and enjoy a spectacular evening.  We will have an unprecedented showcase of work from more than 120 of our area’s finest artists. You’ll enjoy cuisine from some of the finest restaurants and caterers in the area, accompanied by a variety of top-notch music.”

“Boehringer Ingelheim is pleased to host this special community event and benefit,” said Paul Fonteyne, President and CEO of Boehringer Ingelheim USA Corporation. “Supporting the work of Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western CT goes hand-in-hand with our commitment to patients and families, and our support of employee volunteering.”
