From May 11th through the 22nd the Doggie Fun Zone returns to the Cassio Pet Resort & Training Center at 173 Mount Pleasant Rd. in Newtown, CT. between exits #8 and #9 off I-84.  Great photo opportunities abound while each dog chases an elusive lure down straight-a-ways, around soft corners, jumps over or crawls under various scaled down obstacles in the enclosed training yard.

Bring your show dog, couch dog, or best friend dog.  They will all love the Doggie Fun Zone.  This event requires no prior experience or training.   Initially, the dog runs the course twice for a $12 fee.  The first run is for experience while the second run is timed and posted.   This fun-filled event is equally exciting for people as they watch all size and temperament dogs from a Miniature Dachshund to a Rottweiler run the course.

With the cooperation of restaurants and businesses in the area, many prizes and gift certificates will be awarded for the daily fastest time based on size and several additional categories.   Daily winners draw a ticket to determine their prize.  Repeating winners draw from a separate group of tickets.  Repeating winners can continue to lower their time for the overall fastest dog.  The 2012 fastest timed dog receives a $100 gift certificate at Quality Gem in Bethel, CT.

All proceeds will be donated to the Spay & Neuter Association of Newtown and the Danbury Animal Welfare Society.  For further information contact: Cassio during office hours 8:15-12 or 3-6PM at 203 426-2881 or email     The Doggie Fun Zone hours are 10AM until dusk every day.
