Senator Michael McLachlan Warns of Storm Scammers

From the office of State Senator Michael McLachlan–

Connecticut Light & Power is warning that there are scammers going door-to-door asking homeowners for information to sign them up for storm credits following October’s snowstorm.

If someone comes to your door claiming to be from CL&P ask to see their company ID card before giving them any information.

If you have questions about the authenticity of a worker or visit you can call the CL&P customer service line at 860-947-2000 or toll-free 800-286-2000.

Please forward this information to your friends and neighbors, and please feel free to contact me with any comments at Michael.McLachlan@cga.ct.gov or 1-800-842-1421.
