New Toastmasters Club in Bethel

New Toastmasters Club in Bethel

The following is a press release sent from the Bethel Toastmasters Club–

Toastmasters International, a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs is on its way to establishing a new club in Bethel.

Regular meetings are scheduled for the first and third Monday of every month from 7:00-8:30 PM, in the Community Room of The Hall of St. Mary’s Church, 26 Dodgingtown Rd, Bethel.

Our first meeting will be Oct. 3.  There is no entrance fee and the general public is invited.  This first meeting will be a demonstration meeting for our guests to experience the scope of what Toastmasters has to offer.  Included in the session is Table Topics, which builds “thinking-on-your-feet” skills, a Prepared Speech presented by a fellow Toastmaster, and various other roles designed to hone speaking and leadership skills.

The new Bethel Toastmasters club promises a mutually supportive and positive learning environment to people of all public speaking skill levels. Members must be 18 or over. Residents from Bethel and surrounding communities are invited to join the evening meetings.

Toastmasters International currently has more than 260,000 members in over 12,500 clubs in 113 countries. Since its founding in October 1924, the organization has helped more than 4 million men and women deliver presentations with poise and confidence. Information is available at www.toastmasters.org.
